Since 2006, the New Horizons for Seniors Program has funded more than 13,000 projects across Canada. Economic Action Plan 2014 proposes an additional $5 million per year to support more projects for seniors.
Also receiving funding was the Royal Canadian Legion Sir Arthur Currie Branch 116. It will be used to support, expand and enhance card games and other events for seniors.
