Call for Research on Temporary Foreign Worker program in Agriculture

Employment and Social Development Canada, along with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, is seeking research related to primary agriculture, particularly agriculture in Canada, as part of a review of the Primary Agriculture Stream of the Temporary Foreign Worker program.
Submitted research can be on a number of topics, such as: the labour market for the primary agriculture sector, the impacts of hiring temporary foreign worker on the primary agriculture sector, housing for temporary foreign workers, etc. Any research submitted should be pre-existing, as ESDC is not seeking new studies or proposals.

The call-out for research is open to all Canadians, including agricultural industry stakeholders, who can provide objective and evidence-based research on the primary agriculture sector. Submissions can be made until November 24, 2017. More information about the call-out and how to make a submission can be found here.
