Through the New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP), the Government of Canada is taking action to enable seniors to share their knowledge, skills and experiences with others.
The NHSP is a federal Grants and Contributions program that supports projects led or inspired by seniors who make a difference in the lives of others and in their communities.
The Government has made enhancements to the program to allow a broader array of organizations to develop a greater variety of projects that meet the changing needs of communities.
Community-based project funding
Community-based projects are eligible for grant funding of up to $25,000, for up to one year. Community-based projects support programs and activities for seniors that meet one or more of the program’s five objectives.
