KOMOKA, ONTARIO
– The Government of Canada is helping a local company start a thermoforming facility to manufacture bath and shower surrounds. The investment of up to $250,000 was announced today by Member of Parliament for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex Bev Shipley on behalf of Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz.

“As a result of this important investment, 20 new jobs will be created in Middlesex County,” said MP Shipley. “Projects like this not only strengthen the local community but also the surrounding region, helping smaller businesses compete in the global economy.”

Ultimate Bath Systems showroom is located in London, but the company will use the investment to set up a facility in Strathroy to manufacture bath and shower surrounds. The Canadian made product will be available to independent dealers and plumbers across the county as well as Canadian hardware chains. The project will create 20 trained and highly skilled labourer jobs in Middlesex County.

This capital is being provided through the Sand Plains Community Development Fund administered by the Ontario Association of Community Futures Development Corporations.
